Notice of Vote – Proposed 2025 Program & Services Budget

Vote Date: March 4, 2026
Alexander First Nation Electors are hereby notified that a Vote will be held on March 4, 2026, regarding approval of the proposed 2025 Income Expenditure Budget totaling $2,391,630.00 from the Income of the Alexander First Nation 1905 Land Surrender Claim Trust.
The proposed expenditures, as presented by Chief and Council, support a range of community programs and services including Health Services, Recreation, Elders Utilities, Fire Department, Treaty initiatives, Cultural Programming, Urban Members Emergency Assistance, and other priority areas. Detailed information outlining all budget categories and allocations is available in the appendices to the budget document.
The Question to Electors
Electors will be asked:
“Do you approve of this budget proposed by the Chief and Council for these Alexander Programs and Services out of the income of the Trust?”
Voting will be conducted in accordance with Article VI, Section 6.3(b) and Section 6.4(a) of the Alexander First Nation 1905 Land Surrender Claim Trust Agreement.
Voting Details
Date: March 4, 2026
Location: Alexander First Nation Community Centre
Time: 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM
All members of Alexander First Nation who are 18 years of age or older as of March 4, 2026, regardless of residency, are eligible to vote. Proper identification will be required at the polling station to confirm eligibility on the Electors List.
The Vote will be conducted under the supervision of the appointed Ratification Officer, Casey Auigbelle, who will be present at the polling station to oversee the process and answer questions.
