2024 Chief and Council Priorities

Chief and Council have released their 2024 priorities, outlining a strategic path forward centered on the well-being, growth, and long-term strength of the Kipohtakaw Nation. The plan focuses on enhancing community wellness through expanded mental health and addiction supports, addressing housing demands and infrastructure improvements, strengthening administrative transparency and accountability, and advancing initiatives that protect Treaty rights, culture, and language.

Key efforts include developing coordinated health strategies, updating housing plans, exploring Treaty-based funding opportunities, and creating spaces that support youth, families, and urban members. Leadership remains committed to open communication and encourages members to stay informed, share their perspectives, and take part in shaping a safe, resilient, and thriving future for Kipohtakaw.
