MANDATE
To provide the highest quality, individualized, coordinated, comprehensive client centered Home Care Service to the members of Alexander First Nation. The function is to assist AFN members who require health related services and supports and to enhance and promote healthy lifestyles.
Home Care Nurse (Registered Nurse - RN)
Monitors the Home Care Program along with the Kipohtakawkamik Elders Lodge, including its home care staff. Co-ordinates, palliative care, in-services and training.
Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) & Health Care Aides (HCA)
Provides treatment services and care to the chronically ill most of whom reside at the Kipohtakawkamik Elders Lodge. Also includes providing support services to the Boys Home. Supplies foot care along with the Diabetes program.
