In order, to properly provide for the interests of the Alexander First Nation as a whole, the Chief and Council must maintain high standards of public and private conduct. Any conduct, which would reflect negatively on the part of Chief and Council will also reflect on the community as a whole. Chief and Council conduct must always reflect Traditional Values of honesty, empathy and courtesy in dealing with matters arising before them.
Chief and Council must exercise their official duties with honesty and integrity, displaying the values of sincerity, truth and fair dealing. Chief and Council must look upon themselves as role models and treat they’re elected office with respect. Chief and Council must discharge their duties without demeaning himself or any individual member, while refraining from any dishonorable conduct, either in a public or private capacity that will reflect adversely on their elected office.
Chief and Council may not seek or obtain special access to programs, funding, materials or property provided to members of the Alexander First Nation, but be eligible on the same basis as others.
